Rockwall ISD names elementary principal

The Rockwall Independent School District announced that Maricela R. Helm has been hired as the principal of Amy Parks-Heath Elementary School.

Helm has worked in the Dallas, Garland and Plano districts, most recently as principal of Mendenhall Elementary in Plano ISD. She was Dean of Instruction at DISD’s J.W. Ray Learning Center and an elementary language specialist for that district.

Helm’s educational background includes a bachelor of communication from Southwest Texas State University and a master’s in educational administration with mid-management certification from Texas A&M University-Commerce.
