Rockwall ISD is currently inviting new members to serve on the District Educational Improvement Committee (DEIC). The committee makes recommendations to the Superintendent on areas where establishment and review of District educational goals is needed. Committee positions are open to community members, parents, area business representatives and staff members.
DEIC members meet the first Monday of each month September through May from 4:00 to 5:00 p.m. at the Rockwall ISD Administration/Education center located at 1050 Williams Street to discuss and provide input from the following areas: Planning, Budgeting, Curriculum, School Organization, Staff Development and Staffing Patterns. The group is facilitated by Assistant Superintendent of Policy, Planning and Research Joan Terry, who reports the findings and proposals to the Superintendent.
For more information on how to get involved with the DEIC and directly affect the education of the 13,500 RISD students, call 469-698-7034.
