President Obama’s speech Tuesday was handled in a variety of ways in North Texas school districts, with some showing the speech live, others asking parent permission and others who plan to use taped versions of the speech when it fits into lessons.
At Rockwall Heath High School, the speech was aired live during the lunch break. About 500 students looked on. Most cheered, fewer booed.
According to the district, 950 students watched the address at Rockwall High School. The district’s overall attendance at the speech (student count only) was 2,145.
